There is a powerful spiritual principle that has been at work since the creation of all things called seedtime and harvest. This principle is no respecter of persons, it simply answers to its own divinely set rule. What you sow is what you reap. We are all products of a certain kind seed. In Genesis 8:22 NKJV God says ““While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
The interesting bit about this principle is that sowing is tied to a set time, that’s why its called seedtime and harvest. There is a particular time or season when it is best for one to sow seed. There is a particular age which is best to do certain things, e.g. join the army, get married, have children, etc. Soccer lovers know that the great soccer players that we celebrate today started their careers at an early age, for example the great Argentinian player Messi started playing at the age of 4years and later joined an organized team at 6years. Cristiano Ronaldo started at the age of 8years and joined a professional team at the age of 12years.The great basketballer Lebron James was introduced to basketball at the age of 9years. The careers of these great athletes in most cases begins to decline when they are in their 30’s. It would be strange for one to start their soccer career at the age of 30years. Many have missed their opportune life moments because they did not discern that it was sowing time, not harvesting time.
Please understand that after you sow, you rest. You do not need to stay awake at night worrying if the seed you planted will germinate, you simply rest and let the principle to do it’s work. The harvest answers to the seed. That means the harvest is in the seed and the seed is in the harvest, but note this, the seed precedes the harvest, because it is limited by time or season.
The fundamental question in this subject is, who defines the seed? Do i have the liberty to define the seed? Let us look at the parable of the Sower in Luke 8:11 NKJV, Jesus said “11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.” That means the four different types of grounds, the wayside, the rocky, the thorny and the good ground are the different recipients of the Word of God. The seed that carries inside it the power to accomplish the impossible is the Word of God. Jesus said understanding the parable of the Sower is the key to understanding all the other parables. Therefore we do not have the liberty to determine the seed is, that liberty is exclusively reserved to our God. That said, the manifestation of the seed sown varies depending on the purpose of the seed sown.
We all can determine our future by the seeds we sow and you can start sowing today. We need to sow the Word of God into our lives, upon the good ground of our hearts, that’s our priority in this life. When we read Gods word and meditate upon it, we are sowing the seed of Gods word upon our hearts. When we take that same Word sown and speak it forth, we will get a harvest, when we apply it into our lives, we will get a results. We have all it takes to change our world. All it takes is the seed of the Word of God applied. There is no situation stubborn enough that it cannot change, when you consistently apply God’s Word to it it responds. In whatever you are dealing with, find out what God’s Words says about it, lock yourself in a quite place and study the Word, once you get the revelation of your freedom in whatever area, your finances, family, health etc. you are on your way out, you are on your way into a great victory!
The seed available for life transformation is the Word of God, and its available to every dear child of God.
Be Blessed!

We have to consistently sow the seed (the Word of God) in our lives. Very powerful. Amen!
Amen, thank you for your comment Rozanne
A very interesting topic. Indeed a part from sowing in material and tangible things, I am getting the insight that when you are investing time in learning and training you are actually sowing time for a flourishing career. In military it is train hard, fight easy! Now, the great revelation will be sowing time to things of God, you’ll harvest blessings.
Thank you Pastor Elias for thought invoking blogs.
Welcome Patrick,
Sowing indeed precedes the harvest, and seed of the Word sown always produces a great harvest.
Blessings!
